The potential investment, approved on September 10, 2024, involves collaboration with current Atlantis owner Brookfield Asset Management. This development comes after previous reports of Brookfield seeking to sell the property for approximately $2.5 billion in both 2019 and 2023.
The investment could potentially revive the "Somewhere Else" project, a planned 400-room hotel development near The Coral tower, which was originally proposed in 2022 in partnership with David Grutman and Pharrell Williams.
