Hofstetter, known for his 823K YouTube subscriber base, announced the cancellation via Facebook, citing the ongoing strike as his primary reason. All tickets will be automatically refunded.

The Culinary Union, representing approximately 700 striking workers, praised Hofstetter's decision through secretary-treasurer Ted Pappageorge, who called it "a courageous stand for justice and fairness."

Key points of the ongoing labor dispute:

  • Workers seek significant salary increases and improved benefits
  • The union claims Virgin Las Vegas offered only 30 cents per hour in wage increases
  • Virgin Hotels Las Vegas has accused the union of bargaining in bad faith
  • The casino's proposal for binding arbitration was rejected by the union
  • The strike has been ongoing since November 15

The Culinary Union is calling for other performers, customers, and conventions to boycott Virgin Hotels Las Vegas until the strike is resolved. They're pushing for a contract similar to those recently accepted by other Las Vegas casino-hotels.

Management maintains that the union hasn't seriously considered their economic proposals or presented their latest offer to members for a formal vote.
