NCPG offers various volunteer opportunities through committees, professional resource networks, and work groups. Applications are due December 19, 2024, for service beginning February 1, 2025.

Board Committees

• Created by NCPG Board of Directors
• One-year terms (February-July)
• Limited to NCPG members
• Maximum two committees per person
• Includes: Advisory Panel, Affiliates, DEI, Finance, Governance, Nominations and Elections

Staff Committees

• Created by NCPG staff
• One-year terms (January-December)
• No limit on participation
• Includes: Communications, Development, Helpline, Membership, Tribal Advisory Council

Professional Resource Networks (PRNs)

• Interest-based groups sharing expertise
• One-year terms (January-December)
• No participation limits
• Areas: Military, Prevention, Recovery, Research, Responsible Gambling, Treatment

Staff Work Groups

• Project-specific teams
• Up to one-year terms
• No participation limits
• Includes: Awards, Conference Steering, Conference Program, Media Referral

Key Requirements for All Volunteers:

• Regular meeting attendance
• Active participation
• Compliance with NCPG policies
• No compensation provided
• Must maintain NCPG membership where applicable
