Pin-Up, a major iGaming platform operating in Ukraine, is based in Russian-controlled Luhansk Oblast and owned by Russian citizens. The company is accused of:

  • Directing gaming revenue to fund Russian military activities
  • Sharing players' personal data with Russian officials
  • Tracking and reporting Ukrainian Armed Forces members' gaming activities to Russian military leaders

Despite President Zelensky's April 2022 decree banning military personnel from online gambling during martial law, many service members continue to use platforms like Pin-Up. This comes after Ukraine's 2020 gaming law legalization, which permitted regulated gambling with specific restrictions:

  • Casinos allowed only in hotels with 100+ rooms (4-star minimum)
  • Gaming licenses cost $5 million
  • Revenue taxed at 10% for slots, 18% for table games

Pin-Up Global operates offices across multiple countries, including Ukraine, Poland, Cyprus, Armenia, Kazakhstan, and Peru. While exact figures aren't public, analysts estimate the company's annual revenue exceeds $500 million.

Following recent developments, former President Trump has called for an "immediate ceasefire" after meeting with President Zelensky, as the conflict surpasses 1,000 days of active combat.
