NFL Foundation and FanDuel Fund $2.5M in Problem Gambling Prevention Grants

The Agility Grants program provides funding to U.S.-based nonprofits for implementing problem gambling prevention programs. Funded by the NFL Foundation and FanDuel, this initiative has allocated over $1 million from 2022-2024, with an additional $1.5 million planned for 2025-2027.

Applications for Spring 2025 are open until February 26, 2025, at 11:59 pm ET.

  • Award amounts: $20,000 - $40,000
  • Open to all U.S. 501(c)(3) nonprofits
  • NCPG membership not required
  • Support includes application guidance and evaluation assistance

  • Develops and evaluates prevention programs

Eligibility Requirements:

  • Must be a U.S.-based 501(c)(3) organization
  • One application per organization
  • Previous applicants must wait one round before reapplying
  • Programs must focus on prevention, not treatment or responsible gambling

Target Audiences:

  • Students (middle school through college)
  • Student athletes
  • Communities of color
  • Populations at higher risk for gambling problems

Funding Restrictions:

  • No fundraising campaigns
  • No individuals
  • No organizations outside the U.S.
  • No lobbying activities
  • Maximum 15% overhead costs

Application Process:

  • Submit online via OpenWater platform
  • Multiple collaborators allowed
  • Letters of support required for partnerships
  • Awards announced in April 2025
  • Final impact report required post-grant
