NFL Foundation and FanDuel Award 2024 Agility Grants to Prevent Problem Gambling

Agility Grants support non-profit organizations in developing primary and secondary gambling prevention programs within their communities. Funded by the NFL Foundation with support from FanDuel, these grants have been awarded across multiple rounds since Spring 2022.

The program focuses on two key areas:

  • Primary prevention: Targeting those who haven't gambled
  • Secondary prevention: Supporting those with limited gambling experience

Spring 2022 (Round 1) Recipients:

  • Towson University Foundation: 'Tigers Play Responsibly' program
  • Oklahoma Association on Problem Gambling and Gaming: 'I Am Native' Youth Project
  • Nicasa Behavioral Health Services: Teen Problem Gambling Group
  • Visión y Compromiso: 'No Jueuges Tu Vida' program

Fall 2022 (Round 2) Recipients:

  • Freedom House of Mecklenburg: School-based prevention curriculum
  • Volunteers of America Oregon: Student athlete prevention campaign
  • Ohio in Arabic: "Let Me Tell You Why" bilingual campaign

Spring 2023 (Round 3) Recipients:

  • Hispanic UMADAOP: Youth education campaign in Cleveland
  • NAMI Maryland: Smart Choices for Athletes program
  • Nevada Council on Problem Gambling: Student-Athlete Gambling Awareness
  • Nicasa Behavioral Health Services: Teen Problem Gambling Group expansion
  • Student Assistance Services: The Hidden Hazards of Youth Gambling

Fall 2023 (Round 4) Recipients:

  • Alabama Council on Compulsive Gambling: "It's More Than Just a Game"
  • Problem Gambling Coalition of Colorado: Art-based prevention program
  • AdCare Educational Institute of Maine: Youth Gambling Prevention Graphic Medicine
