According to police reports, Wilmot exited his grey Jeep Cherokee, leaving two passengers inside, and approached a silver Subaru WRX. After banging on the driver's side window, he was shot by the 24-year-old female driver, who then fled the scene but was later located at her Las Vegas residence.
The shooter has been arrested on unrelated charges and provided a statement to the Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department. Prosecutors are reviewing the case as possible self-defense, as Wilmot was reportedly armed but collapsed before using his weapon.
