Las Vegas Hotels Cut Rates for California Wildfire Evacuees as Nevada Sends Firefighter Support

Several Las Vegas hotels are offering discounted rates for Southern California wildfire evacuees through late January and early February 2024. Here are the specific offers:

  • Treasure Island: $79 per night through January 31
  • Virgin Hotels Las Vegas: Up to 50% off rates, free parking, and pet accommodations through February 3
  • Resorts World Las Vegas: 35% discount
  • MGM Resorts: 35% off room rates
  • Fontainebleau Las Vegas and South Point Hotel: Additional discounts available
  • Airbnb: Partnering with 211LA to provide free housing

Current Wildfire Status:

  • 10 fatalities reported
  • Over 9,000 structures damaged or destroyed
  • 180,000 residents evacuated
  • Multiple fires active, including:

    • Eaton fire: 13,690 acres, 0% contained
    • Kenneth fire: 960 acres, 35% contained
