The new sportsbook will feature:

  • Six DraftKings sportsbook kiosks
  • One over-the-counter betting window
  • Location adjacent to the casino's sports bar
  • Access for customers 21 and older

This expansion marks DraftKings' entry into its 28th U.S. state, adding to its presence in Washington, D.C., and Ontario, Canada.

Wisconsin Sports Betting Context:

  • Only legal in tribal casinos with amended gaming compacts
  • The Lac du Flambeau Band received approval for sports betting on April 9, 2024
  • Becomes the seventh tribe to offer sports betting in Wisconsin
  • Online betting remains limited to tribal property only

Currently, the Oneida tribe is the only operator offering an online sports betting app for use within tribal property. DraftKings has not announced plans for a mobile betting app at this location.

"Lake of the Torches is excited to add retail sports betting to our property as a new gaming amenity for our valued guests to enjoy," said Bill Guelcher, CEO of Lake of the Torches Resort Casino.

Michael Kibort, VP of Retail Sportsbooks at DraftKings, added, "DraftKings has established a great relationship with the Lac du Flambeau Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Indians, and we can't wait to bring the DraftKings Sportsbook brand to Wisconsin."
