Artistic manager Troy Heard discovered the break-in on Christmas Day, noting this incident was part of a string of burglaries targeting several small businesses in the Arts District. Due to the theater's limited budget, the stolen equipment wasn't insured.

Facing the potential cancellation of their upcoming production of "Cabaret" scheduled for January 16, Heard launched a GoFundMe campaign. The response was overwhelming, with donations surpassing the initial $10,000 goal in less than 24 hours. The campaign has now exceeded $19,000 from 180 donors nationwide.
The additional funds will be used to upgrade the theater's facilities, ensuring better security and enhanced production capabilities for future performances. The Majestic, which typically produces 5-10 annual shows featuring local talent, has expressed profound gratitude for the community's support in turning this setback into what Heard calls a "Christmas miracle."
