Nevada law enforcement conducted an intensive DUI enforcement operation over the weekend, yielding:
- 540 vehicle stops
- 255 citations issued
- 32 DUI arrests
- 13 additional arrests
The operation honored fallen Nevada State Police Highway Patrol Sergeant Michael Abbate and Trooper Alberto Felix, who died from injuries caused by an intoxicated driver on I-15 in Las Vegas on November 30, 2023.
The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has increased security measures for holiday shopping season through December. Enhanced patrols include:
