Athletic Trainer Position at UC Berkeley Athletics Department

The University of California, Berkeley seeks an Athletic Trainer to provide injury evaluation, athletic training, and rehabilitation services for NCAA student-athletes.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage assigned sports teams under Head Athletic Trainer supervision
  • Coordinate with medical personnel for student-athlete care
  • Maintain accurate injury reports and medical documentation
  • Manage inventory and supplies
  • Enforce safety procedures
  • Complete required health and safety training
  • Maintain athletic training facilities
  • Pursue continued education in sports medicine
  • Maintain NATA Board certification

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in relevant field
  • NATA Board Certification in good standing
  • Experience in competitive athletic environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Excellent communication abilities
  • Proficiency in medical documentation
  • Computer literacy
  • Ability to work independently
  • Experience in fast-paced clinical settings

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Master's Degree
  • Previous collegiate athletic training experience
