Syracuse University seeks an Esports Coordinator to manage their esports program and facility. This full-time role combines facility management with student engagement and programming responsibilities.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and supervise esports facility during evening and weekend hours
- Oversee 20 student staff members, including hiring, training, and scheduling
- Develop and implement recreational esports programs, leagues, and tournaments
- Collaborate with university departments to increase program participation
- Establish and maintain facility policies, procedures, and code of conduct
- Maintain gaming equipment and ensure facility operations
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in recreation, sports management, computer science, or related field
- Experience in staff training and supervision
- Proven esports gaming background
- Strong communication and computer skills
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree
- Experience working with diverse populations
- Event management experience
