Esports Coordinator Position at Syracuse University

Syracuse University seeks an Esports Coordinator to manage their esports program and facility. This full-time role combines facility management with student engagement and programming responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and supervise esports facility during evening and weekend hours
• Oversee 20 student staff members, including hiring, training, and scheduling
• Develop and implement recreational esports programs, leagues, and tournaments
• Collaborate with university departments to increase program participation
• Establish and maintain facility policies, procedures, and code of conduct
• Maintain gaming equipment and ensure facility operations

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in recreation, sports management, computer science, or related field
• Experience in staff training and supervision
• Proven esports gaming background
• Strong communication and computer skills
• Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree
• Experience working with diverse populations
• Event management experience
