The Allstate Sugar Bowl will proceed as scheduled tonight at 8:45 pm EST in the Caesars Superdome, despite a tragic incident in New Orleans' French Quarter earlier today.

At approximately 3:15 a.m. local time, a white pickup truck drove down Bourbon Street, striking multiple pedestrians celebrating New Year's Eve. The attack resulted in 10 fatalities and over 30 injuries. The driver was killed in a subsequent shootout with police.
