The shooting occurred on November 8, claiming the life of Orlando Garza. Boyd allegedly fled the scene after the incident.
In separate incidents, two robberies occurred at Rivers Casino Des Plaines in Illinois on Saturday. Two masked men in a white Nissan Altima robbed a 32-year-old Itasca resident at gunpoint, stealing his phone, license, and credit cards. Minutes later, they targeted a 57-year-old Skokie resident, taking his wallet containing $2,000. Neither victim was injured.
In Pennsylvania, former Gregg Township secretary/treasurer Pamela Hackenburg, 55, faces charges for allegedly stealing $532,747.67 using town credit cards. She reportedly used the funds for sports gambling, particularly on DraftKings, charging approximately $20,000 monthly since January 2023. The theft was discovered after suspicious credit card statements prompted an investigation. Hackenburg allegedly concealed the theft by manipulating budget data and reallocating funds from a $500,000 road project loan. She faces potential prison time if convicted of theft, identity theft, and fraud charges.
