Polymarket Bettors Speculate on Luigi Mangione Case Following CEO Murder Arrest
Cryptocurrency prediction market Polymarket has opened betting markets related to Luigi Mangione, who was arrested Monday for the murder of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan last week.
Mangione, 26, was found with "written admissions" about the shooting when arrested at a McDonald's in Pennsylvania, according to Forbes. An internal NYPD report obtained by The New York Times revealed a manifesto was discovered, in which Mangione described the killing as a "symbolic takedown" and "direct challenge" to alleged corporate corruption.

The FBI recently raided CEO Shayne Coplan's apartment, seizing devices, though no charges were filed.
The platform operates using cryptocurrency transactions, allowing users to bet anonymously on news events and predictions. The site correctly predicted Donald Trump's recent election victory, cementing its reputation for accurate market-based forecasting.
