Two adults were arrested at Pennsylvania's Parx Casino after leaving their 6-year-old daughter alone in a cold vehicle for 45 minutes while they gambled inside.

To Yeung and Chunyahn Wang, both 44-year-old Brooklyn residents, were charged with endangering the welfare of a child. Casino security found them playing table games while their daughter remained in their Honda CRV with the engine off, despite temperatures in the low 20s and 8 mph winds.

The incident occurred Monday morning around 11 a.m. when casino security guards discovered the child and notified Pennsylvania State Police. Though the girl wasn't injured, leaving children in cold vehicles can lead to hypothermia, which becomes dangerous when core body temperature drops below 95 degrees.

After their arrest, Wang and Yeung appeared before Bucks County Magisterial District Court Judge Joseph Falcone. They each posted $3,000 bonds and were released, with their cases transferred to local prosecutors. The child was placed with relatives.

This case joins numerous similar incidents across Pennsylvania and other states where adults have left children unattended in vehicles while gambling, resulting in criminal charges for endangering minors.
