Nevada Slots Set All-Time Monthly Record Despite Overall Casino Revenue Decline in October
Nevada casinos achieved a record-breaking slot machine revenue in October 2024, though overall gaming revenue declined compared to the previous year. Slot machines generated $932.3 million, marking a 4.2% increase from October 2023 and setting an all-time monthly record.
Despite this milestone, total gaming revenue decreased by 2% to $1.286 billion, marking the 44th consecutive month exceeding $1 billion. This decline was primarily due to reduced performance in table games and sports betting, which fell by 16%.
