MGM Resorts is exploring new revenue streams through tiered restaurant seating, according to Deutsche Bank analyst Carlo Santarelli. This potential change follows recent increases in resort and parking fees at MGM's 12 Strip properties.

Tiered seating already exists at select Las Vegas restaurants:

  • The Strat's Top of the World offers premium upgrades for window views
  • Paris Las Vegas charges extra for Bellagio fountain views from the Eiffel Tower
  • Bellagio's restaurants require minimum spends for premium terrace seating

The potential expansion of tiered seating across MGM properties has drawn criticism on social media, with users expressing concerns about excessive price gouging and the possibility of this practice spreading to casual dining establishments.
