Illegal gambling platforms targeting Roblox players have shut down following a Sky News investigation. The three largest "Robux casinos" - BloxFlip, Bloxmoon, and RBLXWild - ceased operations after the expose revealed they were allowing minors to gamble using Roblox's in-game currency.

These unauthorized gambling sites attracted approximately 2.8 million monthly visitors and processed millions in bets, despite Roblox's massive underage user base. According to SEC filings, 60% of Roblox's 164 million active users are under 16, with 22% being nine or younger.

While the sites claimed to require users to be 18+, they lacked proper age verification, allowing children to easily access gambling features like slots and blackjack using Robux. Winners could convert their earnings to cryptocurrency and subsequently to real money.

BloxFlip announced its shutdown citing pressure from Roblox's legal team, promising to refund users. Bloxmoon and RBLXWild quickly followed suit.

Roblox Corporation now faces a class-action lawsuit in Northern California, filed by parents whose children lost money through these gambling sites. The lawsuit alleges that Roblox incentivized these third-party platforms and profited from their transactions.

A Roblox spokesperson has stated the company doesn't endorse these websites and welcomes law enforcement action against such operations.
