Lil Baby Admits Gambling Problem, Self-Bans from Vegas Casinos After $8M Loss
Lil Baby, the Grammy Award-winning rapper, recently revealed his struggles with problem gambling and has taken steps to self-exclude from Las Vegas casinos. During an appearance on Lil Yachty's "A Safe Place" podcast, he disclosed losing approximately $8-9 million during a 40-hour gambling session in Las Vegas.

The Atlanta native, known for hits like "My Dawg" and his chart-topping album "My Turn," sought assistance from Fanatics CEO Michael Rubin to formally request gambling privilege termination at Las Vegas Strip casinos. This decision follows several gambling-related incidents, including both wins and losses at various establishments.
In August 2023, Lil Baby made headlines after an arrest at Encore Las Vegas for carrying a concealed weapon, though prosecutors ultimately decided not to press charges. Prior to his music career, he claims to have funded his rap aspirations through gambling, once turning a $60 loan into over $100,000 primarily through dice games.
The rapper's most recent notable casino win occurred in August 2022, when he reportedly won $1 million at an MGM Resorts casino while in Las Vegas for a tour with Chris Brown. Following that win, he allegedly shared $10,000 with each member of his entourage.
This self-exclusion represents a significant step for the 30-year-old artist, who has achieved considerable success in the music industry, including a Grammy Award in 2022 for "Hurricane" with Kanye West and The Weeknd, and an MTV Video Music Award for Best Hip Hop Video.
