Former UFC Fighter Arrested After Allegedly Threatening Family with Gun in Las Vegas
Former UFC fighter Vinny Magalhaes was arrested in Las Vegas on Saturday following allegations he threatened three family members with a firearm. The 40-year-old faces three counts of felony assault with a deadly weapon.
No injuries were reported in the incident, and no shots were fired. Magalhaes is currently being held at the Clark County Detention Center.

After his initial court appearance on Tuesday, Magalhaes is scheduled to return to court on December 23. If convicted on all charges, he could face up to 18 years in prison.
Magalhaes, known by his nickname "Pezão," gained prominence in 2008 when he reached the finals of "The Ultimate Fighter" Season 8. He lost the light heavyweight title match to Ryan Bader by first-round knockout. His final UFC appearance came in 2013, losing to Anthony Perosh. Throughout his MMA career, Magalhaes compiled a record of 19 wins and 12 losses.
