Douglas Lemott Jr.: From Military Service to Cybersecurity Leadership - A Journey of Faith and Innovation
Douglas Lemott Jr.'s journey began with a pivotal moment - earning a 4.0 GPA to win a computer from his single mother. This achievement sparked his lifelong dedication to technology and problem-solving.
After graduating from the U.S. Naval Academy with a Computer Science degree, Lemott served 27 years in the Marine Corps, where he specialized in communications and led the Marine Corps Cyberspace Operations Group. He later earned his Master's in Computer Science from the Naval Postgraduate School.

Currently, Lemott serves as Chief Information Security Officer (CISO) at the Analysis and Resilience Center for Systemic Risk (ARC), protecting vital economic and national interests. Previously, as Vice President of Security Operations and Deputy CISO at SAP NS2, he designed comprehensive cybersecurity programs for mission-critical systems.
His leadership philosophy centers on three Marine Corps values:
