Deadly Road Rage Shooting Shuts Down Parts of Las Vegas Strip, Suspect at Large

A fatal shooting occurred Monday afternoon on the Las Vegas Strip following a road rage incident, according to local authorities.

The incident took place at 4:04 p.m. in front of the Palazzo at the Venetian Resort, where the victim was shot in the neck during a confrontation after approaching the suspect's vehicle. The victim was pronounced dead at the scene.

The suspect, described as a thin man with light skin wearing a backward hat, fled the scene in a silver Subaru WRX before police arrived.

Traffic Impact:

  • Las Vegas Boulevard closed in both directions between Sands Avenue and Sirens Cove Drive
  • Sands Avenue closed in both directions between Las Vegas Boulevard and Koval Lane

The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department (LVMPD) has launched an investigation, deploying numerous units to the area. Officers are reviewing surveillance footage and interviewing witnesses to identify the suspect, who remains at large as of Monday evening.

The victim's identity will be released by the Clark County coroner's office following family notification and autopsy completion. The LVMPD is expected to provide additional details about this apparent homicide later Monday night.
