The Cleveland Cavaliers (21-17) face the Portland Trail Blazers (14-23) in an intriguing matchup. The Cavs are favored by 6.5 points, with the total set at 216 points.

Darius Garland made an impressive return from a four-game absence, posting 27 points and 10 assists in his last game. He showed excellent playmaking, particularly with Evan Mobley and Jarrett Allen, helping them shoot a combined 69.2% on his assists.

Jarrett Allen has been dominant recently, averaging 20.3 points on 70% shooting, 10.3 rebounds, and 2.7 blocks over his last three games. His stellar play continues to strengthen his All-Star case in the first year of his five-year extension.

Portland will be without Damian Lillard (lower abdominal tendinopathy) for at least another week. Anfernee Simons has stepped up in his absence, averaging 35.5 points and 7.0 assists over his last two games, including a 43-point performance against Atlanta.

Despite coming off a loss to the hot Memphis Grizzlies, the Cavaliers should have an advantage against a Trail Blazers team missing their best player. Given Cleveland's team chemistry and Portland's key absence, expect the Cavs to win and cover the spread.
