The incident occurred around 5:45 a.m. on Friday when the suspect, dressed in black, demanded cash from an employee while brandishing what was later discovered to be a replica gun. After receiving the money, the suspect fled the scene.

Police quickly responded and located Just using a drone equipped with thermal imaging. He was found hiding in a drainage ditch and eventually surrendered to officers. Both the stolen cash and replica firearm were recovered nearby. No injuries were reported during the incident.

In other casino crime news, former Hard Rock Hotel & Casino Lake Tahoe cage manager Alberto Jesus Caballero has pleaded guilty to stealing $9,967 from the property in May 2021. Under a plea agreement, he must pay $300 monthly in restitution and forfeit $1,500 in bail.

If Caballero completes the restitution, he can withdraw his felony plea for a lesser misdemeanor charge. Failure to pay could result in 16 to 60 months in prison. He was apprehended in Texas during a traffic stop when officers discovered the pending casino theft charge.
