AREA15 Las Vegas Announces Layoffs Amid Business Restructuring
AREA15, Las Vegas's immersive entertainment complex, is undergoing significant restructuring, including staff layoffs and the departure of COO Dan Pelson. Officials confirmed these changes are in response to evolving market conditions.
The complex plans to concentrate on its most popular attractions, including the renowned Omega Mart by Meow Wolf. This strategic shift aligns with the upcoming expansion of the AREA15 District, which received designation as the world's first immersive tourism district by the Las Vegas City Council in August.

New attractions under development include:
- A 12,000 square-foot Lionsgate Entertainment attraction based on the "John Wick" franchise
- Universal Horror Unleashed, a 100,000 square-foot permanent attraction inspired by Universal's Halloween Horror Nights
AREA15 operates as a joint venture between the Fisher Brothers (Winston, Ken, and Steven) and Beneville Studios, with Michael Beneville serving as chief creative officer. Ward 3 councilmember Olivia Diaz views these developments as catalysts for the area's revitalization.
