The Palmetto Championship at Congaree replaces the canceled RBC Canadian Open, marking the third PGA Tour event in South Carolina this season. Players will compete for 500 FedEx Cup points and a $7.3 million purse.

The Congaree Golf Club, opened in 2017, is a challenging Tom Fazio-designed par-71 course spanning 7,655 yards. Built on 3,200 acres, it features extreme length including a 645-yard par-5 and multiple par-4s over 520 yards.

The field includes world #1 Dustin Johnson and eight other top-50 players. Notable participants:

  • Brooks Koepka (returning after PGA Championship T2)
  • Tyrrell Hatton (World #10)
  • Tommy Fleetwood
  • Kevin Kisner
  • Matt Fitzpatrick
  • Sungjae Im

Notable debuts:

  • John Pak (Fred Haskins Award winner)
  • Davis Thompson (former amateur standout)

Betting Odds:

  • Dustin Johnson: +750
  • Brooks Koepka: +900
  • Tyrrell Hatton: +1100
  • Matt Fitzpatrick: +1200
  • Sungjae Im: +1600

With no historical tournament data, the course setup is expected to be relatively forgiving for first-time players. Success will depend heavily on accuracy off the tee, as the wide fairways are bordered by punishing rough.
