The 122nd U.S. Open Championship returns to The Country Club in Brookline, Massachusetts for the first time since 1988. Tournament play runs June 16-19, featuring a field of 156 players competing in individual stroke play.

The historic Country Club, established in 1882, stretches over 7,200 yards and plays as a par-70. Known for its tree-lined fairways and small greens, the course combines holes from its 27-hole layout to create the championship routing.

Defending champion Jon Rahm (+1100) enters as the betting favorite after his dramatic victory last year, where he birdied the final two holes to win by one shot over Louis Oosthuizen. Other top contenders include:

  • Scottie Scheffler (+1200) - World #1 and 2022 Masters champion
  • Justin Thomas (+1200) - Fresh off PGA Championship victory
  • Cameron Smith (+1600)
  • Xander Schauffele (+1600)
  • Dustin Johnson (+1600) - 2016 U.S. Open champion
  • Brooks Koepka (+1800) - Two-time U.S. Open winner

Notable past champions in the field:

  • Jordan Spieth (+2000)
  • Bryson DeChambeau (+3300)
  • Gary Woodland (+8000)

The field includes 91 exempt players plus additional qualifiers from local and final qualifying stages worldwide. The USGA confirmed that LIV Golf participants remain eligible to compete despite their PGA Tour status.
